2008 Grammy Nominee for Best Instrumental Soloist Without Orchestra and past multiple Grammy Nominee, pianist Allison Brewster Franzetti has received international acclaim from critics and audiences alike for her stunning virtuosity and musicality, both as a soloist and chamber musician.
Born in New York City, Allison Brewster Franzetti received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music and her Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School.
Throughout her career, she has been featured on the soundtracks of several films, has been a featured guest artist with numerous orchestras, and has performed at a variety of venues including the American Classical Music Hall of Fame, the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Merkin Hall in New York City, and Wigmore Hall in London. Artists she has collaborated with include Sir James Galway, John Corigliano, Stephen Paulus, Eugenia Zukerman, Julius Baker, and Robert White.
Her Chesky release, The Unkown Piazzolla is a collection of chamber music and largely unrecorded works by the famous Argentine tango composer.
