Rachel Z is an artist that defies type
casting, and this album presents yet another first for Ms. Z. On her Chesky
debut, Rachel Z sings her own compositions, as well as covering several
new contemporary rock songs from Bjork, U2, and Kurt Cobain. This is indeed
Jazz for the 21st Century.
Rachel Z has led her own bands and made several albums as leader, yet
she has also played with Steps Ahead, Wayne Shorter, Peter Gabriel and
Al Di Meola. To support this important Chesky release,
Rachel Z will be aggressively touring the states as
well as Europe.
